Damned Delicious Caffeine!

Well I can't sleep!!! It's been a re-occurring problem lately so I've devised this solution. In order to get things off my chest, and get some sleep, I'll write it down here. If it works, anticipate a small novel each evening, and if it doesn't consider this my first and last post...haha!

Anyways, for those who are interested, it's Saturday night in Lake Arrowhead... LATE saturday night. For those who know me, I'm hypersensitive to the effects of caffeine and had a coffee around 4pm today (a little pick me up, aka the kiss-of-death come bedtime).

Summer training is always interesting, but this year I have been so much better than past years. It has always been my season of least improvement, and yet I feel that this year will be unlike any other. The weather here has been Hot as hell of course (note: I am notorious for complaining in winter that it's too cold, and complaining in summer that it's too hot), and could use a nice breeze right about now.

Tomorrow I have the day off skating (Sunday!), but the best thing to do in the mountains is to fill the day with any kind of activity. So I'll probably go for a bike ride to the gym, then read my book by the lake. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi Jeff, You'd never sleep if you drake the coffee my husband Dan drinks. ROTFLOL Maybe you should only have coffee in the morning? Eh!

Jeff, have you heard of a skater having a slipped disk? How long does it take to heal before you can get back on the ice and jump. I went to Indianapols with Dan and had to leave my skates behind. I felt naked because I didn't have my skates in the car.

I still only have you and Elvis on my skates as the only single skaters.

I definately know what you are talking about. My job varies in hours so one night I'm working until 11:30 PM and then the next day, I have to be back by 6:30 AM. I personally like my sleep, so I'm always tired, by nature. So I'd have coffee at work the night before, thus not being able to sleep. There's been nights that I didn't even sleep between shifts! And the heat here, sure doesn't help either. It's 35 degrees C here today and being on the top floor of an apartment building WITHOUT a/c, it's definately an experience.

Well, here's hoping that both of us get a good nights sleep soon! Take care hun.

oh dear...caffeine.
The art students at my school would stay up till 4 in the morning totally wired on it. My drawing teacher always had a cup of coffe in hand, it made him run around all the time; never standing still- he was so addicted to the caffeine that he'd get jitters (kind of like a smoker) if he didnt get a regular dose. Ai carumba! *__*
I can't even have it at least 4 hours before going to bed.
Some people are just more sensitive to caffeine than others I suppose. Good luck getting sleep, this was posted a while ago so you've probably already solved the issue..I hope!'s the Pitts.

WOW, I just watched you in Torino on TV. Very nicely doen. Your skating is exceptionally smooth and light with sharp movements. The skater after you had music that over-powered his performance. It is 1:17am CMT and no telling if you made the podium. I pretty sure you have. Damm you were good. More down to the point I think you are absolutly gourges having an amazing smile and great full lips. Your face is full of expresion.
As a serious athlete myself training for the 2008 games in triathlon having a life outside the sport that becomes your life is hard between training and competing and school as well as work. If you are ever in Denver Colorado and want to do something after you train and recover give me a call or e-mail. at-- or just drop a note after the media frenzy from a gold slows down. The airport could be a good place a lay over can be a while lol.
Be Great

Though skating is not proud, I always check only figure skating by all means. But a heartfelt performing person does not readily come like you.
Because I always support you, please do its best from ... this.
